Guitar for Dummies

This week I haven't been able to accomplish very much of importance toward my guitar skills. I have been very busy with ACT preparation and with cheerleading. However, this week I will have much more free time and I plan to get much more done with my guitar. I do have my first guitar lesson planned for next week. I am very excited to meet my teacher and see what is in store for my learning.
This week I finally picked a book that I want to focus on for my project. I have been reading the book called Guitar for Dummies. I just finished the first chapter entitled "So you want to learn guitar?" I have learned quite a bit about the basics of guitar. For example, the book went over tablature. Tablature is a notation system that graphically represents the frets and strings of the guitar. I have also learned some of the basic chords.  I have a feeling that it's going to take me some practice to fully understand the chords, but I'm willing to put in the time and effort.

I plan to sit down with my guitar this weekend and start playing the chords. I plan to memorize them by the end of the weekend. I hope to become a great guitar player one day

Thanks for reading my blog! I'll keep y'all updated!

  1. Love your reading selection. I know it's been busy, but I can tell you're dedicated. In the future I'd love to see more on your blog. What are your worries? What do you think it will take to meet your goal? Who is your teacher? When will you meet? Why are the chords hard? Pictures, links, and other creative approaches to reflection will only help gain readership to your blog. Additionally, a stronger blog title will help "jazz" up your blog. Can't wait to see what you can do with your time!
